NACo survey: Most mid-sized,
large counties working on Y2K

Follow-up poll finds smaller counties
lagging behind in forming countywide plans

The vast majority of counties – 94 percent – with more than 50,000 population are getting a handle on potential Y2K problems, a new NACo survey reveals. Only 55 percent of the nation’s smallest counties – those with populations of less than 10,000 – can say the same.
