Years working at NACo: Five. Education: B.A., English and journalism, University of Maryland; M.A., adult education, University of Nebraska; biomedical communications specialist, University of Nebraska. The hardest thing I've ever done: Tried to speak a phrase in a Kenyan dialect to 3,000 people at a conference. Three people (living or dead) I'd invite to dinner: Michelangelo Buonarroti, Mae West and Ida Lupino. A dream I have is to: Give a gushing acceptance speech at the Oscars for writing "Best Original Screenplay." You'd be surprised to learn that I: Want to set up a cable TV network for the elderly. The most adventurous thing I've ever done is: Traveled through Europe myself and visited China and Tibet (accompanied). My favorite sport is: Parsing sentences. I'm most proud of: I owned and operated my own video production and training business for six years. Every morning I read: The Washington Post, Salon (e-zine) and kitty litter labels.
