![]() National Association of Counties * Washington, DC / Vol. 30, No. 8 * April 27, 1998 Nomination Procedures Each year the National Association of County Recorders and Clerks (NACRC), a NACo affiliate, seeks to identify individuals who have exemplified leadership, ingenuity and excellence in their offices. From those individuals nominated, one is selected to receive the NACRC Public Official of the Year Award. The 1998 award will be made in July at the NACo/NACRC Annual Conference in Portland, Ore. Nominations may be submitted by boards of commissioners or supervisors, state associations or by individual recorders, election officials and clerks. The deadline for nominations is May 31. Nominations should include newspaper articles, resumes and letters of support, which illustrate to the selection committee the reasons the nominated individual should receive this prestigious award. As provided in the bylaws, NACRC President Maxine Olson-Hill, has appointed the selection committee, which will remain confidential. Nominations and supporting materials should be sent to the Hon.
