New writer joins County
News staff

County News is once again fully staffed ,
with the addition of Kevin Wilcox, who joined NACo in late September as
a senior writer.
Wilcox, a Morgantown, W.Va. native, has a bachelor's and a master's degree
in journalism from West Virginia University (WVU). While working on his
bachelor's degree at WVU, he served for a year as editor of the campus newspaper,
The Daily Athenaeum.
His professional experience includes four years as a reporter and copy
editor for Morgantown's daily newspaper, the Dominion Post, where
he won a Keystone Press Association Award for front page composition. He
was later a staff writer at WVU, where he worked at a clearinghouse on environmental
issues. Most recently he was a graduate assistant at WVU's Office of Sponsored
Programs, producing a monthly newsletter about grant and funding opportunities.
In 1993, he won America's Best, a national screenwriting contest, in
the television script category.
