SENIOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER - HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINN.: Hennepin County Community Works is seeking an experienced civil engineer to develop public amenities (i.e. greenways, parkways, parklands, ponds) that support stabilization of Hennepin County's tax base. Annual salary range is $45,768 to $67,596. Hennepin County (Minneapolis, MN) is the largest unit of local government in Minnesota with an annual budget of more than $1 billion. Primary responsibilities are to confer and interface with other governmental, private or public agencies and with citizens on planning, design or construction projects; make policy and procedural recommendations on these projects; prepare reports and correspondence; carry out special projects; review final plans and prepare specifications, special conditions and agreements; act as engineer in charge on the special projects; draft and issue requests for proposals and evaluate responses; and manage consultant contracts. Qualified applicants will have a bachelors degree in civil engineering AND six years of professional civil engineering experience, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the field of civil engineering with the Minnesota Board of Registration is required.
