Nearly half of Americans do not achieve the recommended 30 minutes of daily physical activity. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, using public transportation to get to and from work can increase your activity levels by an average of 19 minutes per day. If public transportation is not an option, consider parking at the far side of the parking lot or a few blocks from your office. Try to take the stairs instead of an elevator whenever possible.
