Years in public service:  Eight — justice of the peace for five, county judge for three.

Occupation:  County judge, attorney

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M; J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Three people (living or dead) I’d invite to dinner:  Elon Musk, Sam Houston and Marcus Aurelius.

A dream I have is to: Own a major league sports team.  

You’d be surprised to learn that I:  Have a commercial drone pilot license. 

The most adventurous thing I’ve ever done is: Take two mission trips to remote Zambia, Africa.  

My favorite way to relax is to:  Watch college football. 

I’m most proud of:  Being elected county judge.    

Every morning I read:  Several online news sites. 

My favorite meal is: Steak. 

My pet peeve is:  Events not starting on time. 

My motto is: I would rather fail by action that fail by inaction.  

The last book I read was: Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance.  

My favorite movie isLonesome Dove

My favorite music:  Varies day to day.  

My favorite U.S. president is: Theodore Roosevelt.  

My county is a NACo member because: NACo provides excellent advocacy at the national level.
