NACo’s Annual Conference is less than two weeks away, and our 80-year-old association is entering a new phase of promise with a sharpened focus on keeping America’s counties healthy, safe and vibrant. To support our efforts, we are proud to unveil an updated brand to reflect the dynamic leadership of our members.

Our work is rooted in NACo’s new blueprint, Stronger Counties. Stronger America, and our new logo and website are designed to showcase counties as the core of our country’s strength.

We will officially launch the new logo and website at the Annual Conference, but we wanted to give you an exclusive, early look at the new brand.

The unique, modern logo places emphasis on counties. The American flag design incorporates counties’ intergovernmental partnership with the federal government and NACo’s role in uniting America’s 3,069 county governments. The four stars represent NACo’s four regions, west, central, south and northeast.

The new NACo website —NACo.org — is a leading digital hub for county government in America. It is rich with information and multimedia content related to:

  • Federal advocacy efforts and policy priorities
  • Interactive data and world-class research
  • County solutions for cost-savings and high-quality services, and
  • Civic engagement and public awareness.

We have worked to revamp NACo.org to give visitors a more dynamic, interactive and substantive overall experience.

The cutting-edge design of the new site is fresh, clean and modern.

Not only does the site look great, but we’ve also completely overhauled its functionality to enhance the user experience. The streamlined content has been reorganized by topic and includes a powerful new search function. We have integrated County News more seamlessly into NACo.org, and brought together NACo’s separate blogs into one.

Because an increasing number of users visit websites on mobile devices, the new NACo. org site is responsive and will work well on all screen sizes. Users no longer have to zoom in to read tiny text on a smartphone. The website scales appropriately so that even if your screen size is limited, your experience isn’t.

Every website is a work in progress, and you can expect to see new features and updates in the coming weeks and months. Our goal is to keep counties and our allies better informed and to provide a platform to feature county leadership in action.

Visit NACo.org to learn more about the site’s new features and let us know that you think. We welcome your feedback and ideas for improving how we communicate with you and county officials across the country.

How We've Organized the Content

In the Counties section, you’ll find everything you need know about counties, including general information, what counties do and most importantly why counties matter.

The Advocacy section contains legislative fact sheets and presentations, action alerts, the American County Platform, committee information and the latest policy updates.

In the Resources section you’ll find a library on the landing page containing all resources on the website. Additionally, the Resources section has education and training materials, resumes and job openings in counties around the country, unique NACo initiatives and information about our robust cost-saving programs.

The Events section is home to all our events. Events include our major conferences, meetings, forums, symposiums, fly-ins, summits and webinars. The landing page features a few important upcoming events, but you can view all upcoming events in the calendar toward the bottom of the page. Not a fan of a calendar view? Click the list icon at the top right of the calendar to see a list view of all upcoming events instead.

The About section contains all things NACo-specific from an organizational standpoint. Whether you’re looking for membership information and benefits, employment opportunities or committee information, this section has it all.

The NACo.org News section has the same County News information as always, but is fully integrated into the new website.

The Blog landing page allows the user to search for content through the filters, or simply browse the content displayed in the library.
