The Administrative Services Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the central business functions for the Consumer and Environmental Protection Agency (CEPA) through subordinate managers and supervisors. This position reports directly to the CEPA Director and is a vital contributor to the four-member Agency executive team. Responsibilities include administrative and business services, including public facing customer service, for most CEPA operations; budget creation and performance measurement; oversight of Agency Legislative File process; coordination of state and federal legislative review; oversight of Agency staff development, training, and labor relations; oversight of Agency outreach and public relations; procurement; and service and professional contract administration. The ASM is a fundamental position for our fast-paced organization, where our diverse programs ensure that no two days are ever the same! A qualified candidate would typically acquire the necessary knowledge and abilities through education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Public/Business Administration and a minimum of four years’ experience directing administrative/management functions consisting of a wide variety of support activities of moderate scope and complexity, including two years supervisory experience.
