NACo affiliate organizations are aligned with departments within the county government structure. Members of the affiliates are county staff that perform a specific job within a county. There are affiliates for administrators, attorneys, health officials, engineers, recorders and clerks, information officers, treasurers, and planners. There are procedures and criteria in place for becoming an affiliate, which includes a vote of the membership at the NACo Annual Conference. Each affiliate has one representative on the NACo/NACoRF Board of Directors.
