National Housing Initiative
There are few factors that greater influence an individual’s chances for success in life than where and how they live. Homes are a vital component of American life, providing wealth, stability, community enhancement, individual self esteem, and a place for instilling values and imparting lessons to the next generation.
Through the National Housing Initiative led by now Past President Angelo Kyle, the Center assists counties in helping more Americans achieve the American dream. The National Housing Initiative assists county leaders in better understanding the challenges they face to make housing and home ownership opportunities available. Through publications, forums and site visits, counties acquire the tools needed to build partnerships with key stakeholders in the housing process including the financiers (Fannie Mae Foundation), builders (National Association of Home Builders), realtors (National Association of REALTORS®), non-profit public service orgranizations (Institute for Building Technology and Safety), and lenders who can assist our First Responders (Bank of America) and other millions of other Americans in securing homes.
