The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has released guidelines for preparing the required reports on the use of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds.

06/25/2009 - Recovery Act Reporting Guidance Issued
On June 22, the White House Office of Management and Budget released guidance for required reporting under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. First report due Oct. 10.

American Recovery Act extends Davis-Bacon prevailing wage standards to some types of projects previously not covered by the requirements

05/26/2009 - Broadband Stimulus Grants Soon
White House and USDA officials have told NACo that guidance for Broadband Technology Opportunity Program (BTOP) grants, funded through the Recovery Act, will be available June 22.

05/26/2009 - Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2
HUD has released a notice of funding availability for the second round of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, funded by the Recovery Act. Grants are competitive in this round. Deadline: July 17.

05/22/2009 - Recovery Act Funding: HUD announces funding availability for Neighborhood Stabilization
On May 4, HUD issued the Notice for funding availability for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Round 2 - NSP 2. NSP 2 received $ 2 billion in funding under the Recovery Act, of which $1.93 billion is to be awarded on a competitive basis to states and localities, and non-profit organizations.

05/19/2009 - Model County Energy Strategy Now Available
In applying for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funds, formula grant counties are required to submit an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy. A county model strategy is now available.

05/18/2009 - Registration Process for EECBG funds

05/18/2009 - Transportation Stimulus Funds Available
On May 18, 2009 the U.S. Department of Transportation is scheduled to publish a notice of funding availability and solicitation of applications for the $1.5 billion Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) Discretionary Grants Program in ARRA in the Federal Register.

05/15/2009 - Funding Details Released for Recovery Act Head Start Expansion
$102 million in additional funding is available through the Recovery Act for current federally-funded Head Start agencies only. A 20 percent match is required. Applications due June 23.

05/15/2009 - New Guidance Issued May 11 on Administrative Costs in Recovery Act grants
The White House Office of Management and Budget issued on May 11 new guidance covering allowable administrative costs for counties under the Recovery Act

05/15/2009 - Community Development Block Grant Recovery Act (CDBG-R) Funding Notice Issued
The Recovery Act appropriated $1 billion in supplemental funding for the Community Development Block Grant program. On May 5, HUD issued a Notice describing the submission requirements, submission deadlines and implementation requirements for CDBG-R funding.
