Local Collaboration for Children and Youth
Local leaders across the nation are concerned about whether their community is a good place for children to grow up. Making a community a good place for children and youth takes the efforts of families, schools, local government, non-profits, the faith community, private sector. To be effective, all of the community stakeholders need to work together to make a real difference in the lives of children and youth.
The Local Collaboration for Children and Youth is committed to help communities meet the needs of children and youth by identifying successful model community collaborations that work; sharing information on best practices; and providing practical hands-on technical assistance to policy makers and administrators on ways that their community can develop and expand their collaboration activities.
Members of the Local Collaboration include the National Association of Counties, American Association of School Administrators, International City/County Management Association, National League of Cities, National School Boards Association and the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Through a grant from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Local Collaboration sponsors and produces:
