- Participation on national efforts with NACo to craft policy and guidelines on GIS, Sustainability & Smart Growth, Rural Transportation Planning, Information Technology, e-commerce, Research and Technology, Programs & Services, etc.
- Cooperating Agreements with the Highway Innovative Technology Evaluation Center (HITEC) and the Transportation Industrial Alliance (TIA) to help deploy new products into local government.

- Participation on national committees (i.e. National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, AASHTO Geometric Design, Winter Maintenance Policy,
